About Us
Every since I was young, my parents immersed me in French culture. Each year, trips to visit our French family were cherished. My mother's family resided in a small town in Perpignan, France with relatives around the surrounding areas. A big wine region, wine was a big part of the culture. We visited small castle villages frequently where I saw endless miles of grape vines and small tasting rooms situated on cliff sides overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. One of my favorite villages was Coullioure. A small castle village with a beautiful harbor and delicious wines. Near by in the mountains, my aunt and uncle, Dani and Andre, lived in a small village similar to Solvang, called Mosset. Classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France, it is well known for its lavender fields and perfumes that are created from them. Visit to Mosset were among the most enjoyable times of my youth. My relatives lived on a mountain side with terraced farm land they tended to daily. Each of the 5 levels had a different feel to it and provided in different ways. The ground level was where the house was situated, along with the rustic pool, some cherry trees, and a stone fire pit area that my relatives used for making wood fired meals they served under shade trees alongside light and dry rose wine and sangria. The Second level was where a lot of the vegetables and fruits were grown, my favorite being the raspberry rows. The third level you could find chicken coop vibrant with life and an abundance of fresh chicken eggs.
